Hope Is An Active Verb

Temporary Tattoo Parlour, 2025

Old Diorama Art Centre, Camden

Somers Town Community Association, for COP 30

Skellig Coast Climate Literacy Festival (Tattoo Parlour host only)

We were selected by the EU-funded VOICE Project to undertake a period of R+D to explore a UN Sustainable Development Goal in partnership with an organisation. We chose UNSDG 13 and worked in collaboration with Old Diorama Art Centre in Camden and Somers Town Community Association. We worked with Camden residents, to playfully explore Climate Action, in an everyday way, and created a limited edition set of temporary tattoos.

Each design aims to playfully spark conversations about the climate crisis and inspire communities to take everyday action for our planet and one another.

Climate action can be as simple as picking up rubbish; connecting with nature; or asking the people in power to take action on your behalf. It can also look like talking to your friends and family about the challenges that our planet and community faces, or encouraging people to DON’T ACCEPT THE STATUS QUO.

We hosted 3 temporary tattoo parlours, inviting people to choose from a collection of designs to spark conversations about climate care, optimism, and everyday action.

Our pop-up parlour invited the public to get their own tattoo of hope, a reminder that change begins with small, meaningful gestures, and that together, we can turn hope into an active verb.
