How do we fix something that is broken?

Commissioned by Tate Modern + Better Bankside. Sept  - Oct  2019

Using our trademark playfulness and accessibility, we sought wisdom and practical advice from the public as we asked “How do we fix something that is broken?”

This open ended question, installed on a window of the Libertine Pub in Bankside, invited people to reflect on what it means to be broken and how we can fix it. Read within the context of pre-Brexit Britain, the question alluded to the political, while welcoming the practical and the philosophical.

The project was part of a larger public art commission for windows. The public were invited to submit answers either through social media #howdowefix or directly in the pub, with answers changing daily.
