MAKE TIME FOR LOVE
Make Time For Love © by YARA + DAVINA, 2025. A project for Metal. Commissioned by Culture Liverpool and supported by Arts Council England, Liverpool City Council, the University of Liverpool and Art Fund.
Make Time For Love was a trail of participatory artworks and installations throughout Wavertree High Street in Liverpool.
This project took its inspiration from the Picton Clock Tower, built in 1884 by James Picton in loving memory of his wife of 50 years, Sarah Pooley. A landmark in Wavertree, the clock is more than stone and timekeeping, it is a monument to love, devotion, and the connections that bind us together.
In the same spirit, Make Time For Love, celebrates love in all its forms: for families, neighbours, friends, and community.
From 20 - 28 September 2025 we hosted a week of events shaped by local voices and stories, beginning with a Celebration Day on Wavertree High Street. With workshops, processions, live readings, music and more, the programme filled the neighbourhood with creativity and connection.
