Moral Compass

101 Seedbed Artist Residency and Pilot at Creative Common Festival

How Do We Achieve Peace? This was the question at the centre of our new participatory public artwork ‘Moral Compass’, made in response to the Women's Peace Camp on Greenham Common. We held a pilot of the work on the 13th and 14th September as part of Creative Commons; a festival produced by Corn Exchange Newbury and 101 Outdoor Arts. Feedback from the public included: divisive, engaging and enthralling.

For the engagement to make the compass we ran workshops at the Corn Exchange, Newbury. It was fascinating meeting so many women who were part of the Greenham Women's Peace Movement, as well as people that went as kids, alongside women that objected to the Peace Movement.
